Arranged marriage

I saw a lady who was a matchmaker. She helps to find the person who would like to marry with someone who you do not know. She said she had a lot of personal files who would like to find the partners. In Japan, an arranged marriage used be popular in the past, but I thought there weren't so many cases recently, because the number of a match maker for volunteer has been decreasing in Japan. Instead of them, the companies for their profit have started to develop and people visit them to find their partners. She is working individually as a professional and said the ratio of an arranged marriage is quite high, more than 10% of total marriages in Japan. To tell the truth, I have experienced to do in the past as well. How about in your country?
