The new school year has just started. This year I am in the second year of a PhD course called TIM (Technology Innovative Management) at Doshisha University Graduate School of Policy and Management. Last year, as my first year, I was so busy because I took 9 classes, which are 18 credits. Some of the classes are provided in English so that some teachers come from overseas, such as UC Barclay in the US, the University of Cambridge in England and the University of Auckland in New Zealand. I gave several presentations in Japan and one in China. In the morning, I work at my office for managing my company called KTS and in the afternoon I go to school to take classes and attend workshops and seminars, even if on the weekend. I also do my consulting job for EC (E-commerce) as a part-time job. Actually it's busy, but I enjoy being busy. I think it is very important to strike a balance between one's private life, work and study. The second year of my PhD course should be tougher than the first year. I should concentrate on research more this year. The theme of my research is"Effectiveness of the online shop for Kyoto traditional crafts in local and foreign markets by using information technologies"
